Quanzhou, Fujian, is the most economically developed coastal area in southeastern Fujian, with nearly 10000 urban areas and Jinjiang and Shishi under its jurisdiction. Spin clothing Enterprises, textile and clothing export is one of its important pillar industries. However, in recent two years, influenced by many factors such as the global economic downturn, RMB appreciation, labor costs rising and high barriers to international trade, the growth of textile and clothing exports in this city has slowed down.

Since the beginning of this year, the US economy has shown signs of slow recovery. The EU economy has gradually separated from the bottom, forming an upward turning point and promoting the demand for textile and clothing consumer goods to rise.

According to the latest statistics of Quanzhou economic and Trade Commission, 1~10 months of this year, Quanzhou Textile and garment exports were US $5 billion 270 million, an increase of 33.3% over the same period last year. Fujian accounted for 26.9% of the total textile and clothing exports in the same period, accounting for 40% of the total exports of the same period, and mainly exported to the European Union, ASEAN and Africa. Private enterprises exported 3 billion 230 million US dollars, an increase of 53.9%, accounting for 61.29% of the total export value of the same period. In October, it exported 580 million US dollars, an increase of 42.7%.

Quanzhou is an important textile and garment production and export base in China, with an annual export volume exceeding US $4 billion. Like many foreign trade enterprises trying to get to the domestic market, the growth of domestic demand is not obvious. Many enterprises that originally only engaged in domestic trade tried to go to international stores. According to the registration data of the inspection and quarantine department, there are 604 export textile garments in Quanzhou this year, an increase of 29 over the same period last year.

Analysis of relevant people in the industry, in the appreciation of the renminbi, labor shortage, rising costs, international Trade With many unfavorable factors such as high barriers, Quanzhou's textile and garment enterprises still achieve a larger market growth. The most important reason is related to the domestic economic performance of other countries. First, the traditional European and American markets are getting warmer. Secondly, Bangladesh, the world's second largest exporter of knitwear, is influenced by factors such as the November 2012 fire and the collapse of buildings in April 2013. European and American traders return most of their share of the country's knitted goods to our domestic garment manufacturers. In addition, the development of emerging markets and the implementation of new export support policies are one of the reasons for ensuring a substantial increase in exports. Affected by tariff reduction in Russia's accession to the WTO, Quanzhou textile and garment enterprises increased their export to Russia. The operation of China ASEAN Free Trade Area will reduce the cost of trade and enhance the international competitiveness of products. In addition, emerging markets such as South America, the Middle East and Africa are equally eye-catching.
